Girls Day Out

Yesterday two of my best friends, along with my sister, and mom went out to Nashville for the day to celebrate my birthday!  We had all kinds of fun.  

It started out with ear piercing at Claire's.  

 

Yes, my dear friend and I were pinching my arm, but it really didn't do any good.

After Claire's, we headed over to my favorite jewelry store, Charming Charlie!  We were pretty successful in finding stuff.  ;)

 

And then we finally got to try frozen yogurt at Sweet CeCe's!!  It was amazing.  We all got dark chocolate and raspberry flavors. Definitely going back.   

 And the car ride home was pretty fun too!  Thanks to moms iPad and Photo Booth. 

We then ended the evening with some really delicious sandwiches, an adorable cake, and Father of the Bride 2!  Thanks to everyone for making this possible!!

Florida Trip - November

As you all may know, our entire family went on a trip to Florida for more of my scoliosis treatment.  This has been my third time going down for treatment, but all of my family has never gone!  Here are a few pictures from that week. 

Every time we go to Florida, we pass the Summit Racing store.  Daniel has always wanted to go in there and we finally did just for him!  He was pretty thrilled.  

We rented a house and it had a fairly decent pool and hot tub!  It was pretty awesome to wake up in the morning and swim until lunch.  

Domino did an awesome job traveling, and sleeping.

The little town where we went everyday has some amazing scenery!  This is my favorite spot.  

I just love this place!

It was truly wonderful to have my siblings with me.  They put up with a lot of waiting, and waiting, and waiting.  But I'm so glad they could come!

Michigan Trip Day 1

Today we traveled to Michigan for my cousins wedding! Here are a few pictures from the trip. We took along our dog, Domino. And he did a wonderful job traveling after he found some comfy spots in the car. :D

It's SO flat here!! I mean, you can see for miles and miles.

August & September

At the beginning of August, I, along with Kaliste and mom headed down to Florida for a week. There is more about that here. The trip went okay, and I'm glad to be back!

And then we had the Evanses and Blicks come for a visit!  

A few days later, we headed to my grandparents for a birthday party!

 And as always, we had the pleasure of his company.

Mom has discovered an awesome head covering!

Traveling towels?

So I made one! It's the cutest and easiest thing ever.

Just find some trimmings for tying it up.

Then I tried a different color.  Definitely great gift ideas.

Summer, haying, and swimming

I can't believe summer is already here! And now it's over 100 degrees outside.  Animals have been needing special attention with water and shade these last couple of days.  The grass isn't growing at all.  We need rain!  We have actually been watering the pasture Daniel's cows are in. 

A few weeks ago, we went haying in a friends pasture.  Then we realized we forgot water.  So the Tin Roof kept us going with vitamin water.  Or at least some of us.  

 Then we had to go deliver the hay which is much more fun, especially on the really steep hills. 

Swimming has been the highlight of the summer.  I don't know how many

 times we've gone.  And the summer has just begun!  School is out, and God is so good!!!

Day 19 - a favorite place

Day 18 - something you made

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread.  Here is the recipe. :)

1/2 cup room temp. butter

1 2/3 cup flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 1/4 cups sugar

2 eggs

1 1/2 cups mashed bananas

2 TBS. sour cream

1 tsp. vanilla

6 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped

1. Butter and flour a 5 by 9in. loaf pan.  In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.  

2. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.  Add eggs.  Beat in bananas, sour cream, and vanilla.  Beat in flour mixture and chocolate.  Pour batter in the pan.  Bake 50-60 minutes.  Makes one loaf.
